Economic Downfall VS Do These Jeans Make Me Look Fat?

Body-image-weight Recently, Marsha posted a blog survey about stress. What causes more stress - the economy, your family, work, school, health or your bod? Unfortunately, not a big shocker; some of us would rather watch our 401K sink to unbelievable lows than see ourselves naked in a mirror.

I guess for me this only further suggests that during otherwise very tough times there's an argument for turning worry, stress and frustration into something more productive. When I look at the survey, I wonder how much of that 'worry' spills over into other areas of our lives? If feeling concerned about your weight or body image  is most prevalent in your mind does that effect your relationships, your job performance or even keep you from being proactive about your health?

Now may be the right time to get tough. Making yourself a priority so that you can focus on the things that are most important in your life - with strength, confidence and a greater commitment to your health. Gaining confidence in your wonderful self  will help you to appreciate the good things about you and move you forward in a more positive way.

Uggh- I HATE those magazines. They just had one on the shelf about the worst beach bodies. Is that supposed to make us feel better or worse? Like there are really people saying "Hmm- I look like that, so I guess its ok." People are saying- "I look like that and they are making fun of it so I guess I look bad." It makes me sick.
